The Improvers Study Group provides beekeepers who have one or more seasons of beekeeping experience with the knowledge and skills to prepare for the BBKA Basic Assessment.
The Improvers Course is also an excellent refresher course for more experienced beekeepers who feel that their knowledge or skills might have become a little rusty!
The course runs for 6 weeks. The 2026 course begins on Monday 2nd March (please note change of date – no longer 23rd February) 2026 at 19:00, and runs every Monday evening for 6 weeks. The cost for the course is £30.
The sessions take place at Heywood Village Hall, 3 Westbury Road, Heywood, BA13 4LR.
Feedback from members who attended the Improvers group has been very positive, with people finding it a very supportive and encouraging environment in which to share ideas and improve their beekeeping knowledge and skills.
